Selfie!My husband asked me the all-important question – why would people be interested in reading your blog. Who am I?  I am a mum of two beautiful but very cheeky little girls 🙂 and am a freelance Aerobics teacher, Street-Fit instructor and am trained in Post Natal Assessment and Exercise Prescription.

A couple of years ago I worked as a volunteer for BEAT  – the UK charity for beating Eating Disorders and since then feel very strongly about promoting a positive body image for my girls and for those who come to my classes. I believe in exercising to build up fitness and muscular strength as well as boosting self-esteem and confidence.  NOT just to get skinny!

Since having kids myself, I am also acutely aware of the pressure on women to lose their mummy tummy in record time after birth.  Having trained as a Post natal Exercise Professional, I am hoping to help women understand that rushing to the nearest military boot camp or running a marathon is NOT the answer. Rather a holistic approach to exercise, the core, breathing and the pelvic floor is crucial to enable the body to recover fully. (See my blog on Too much too soon)

As a busy mum of two, I always wanted to have the opportunity to exercise but couldn’t afford gym membership with creche facilities, nor did I want to leave my girls when they were little.  Because of this, I decided to run child-friendly classes and babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are very welcome! (Booking Recommended!)

I am about to launch Pure Core Restore for Mums and babies and Pure Legs, Bums and Tums (LBT) where kiddies up to school age are very welcome.  I am accredited by Kallikids  and for the launch of  Pure LBT which will be held at Westows and at the Happy Cell,   free balloons and Kallikids colouring bags will be available while stocks last……

I am planning to do a weekly blog post with training tips for aerobics and fitness virgins 🙂  as well as discussing the merits of the latest nutritional and post natal fitness developments. Have a look at my current class schedule and please drop me a line…..xx
